Green bio-based concrete admixtures empower prefabricated construction, facilitating the low-carbon transformation of the building industry

With the rapid development of the prefabricated construction industry, green and efficient building materials have become pivotal to the industry's transformation. Recently, a bio-based concrete admixture made from agricultural waste has been applied in batch production at a prefabricated construction base in Jiangsu. This innovation not only improves the quality and production efficiency of prefabricated components but also significantly reduces carbon emissions during the production process, injecting new momentum into the green development of prefabricated construction.

High-performance concrete admixtures are supporting the construction of national-level high-speed rail hubs, enhancing project durability and construction efficiency

Recently, at the construction site of a national-level high-speed rail hub in China, a batch of high-performance concrete admixtures was successfully put into use, effectively addressing technical challenges such as slump loss and temperature-controlled crack prevention in large-scale concrete pouring. This has provided critical support for the high-quality advancement of the project. As a regional transportation core hub, the high-speed rail hub spans a total construction area of over 500,000 square meters, involving extensive mass concrete structure construction.

Green and low-carbon practices have become a consensus in the industry, with breakthrough progress achieved in the research and development of bio-based concrete admixtures

Driven by the dual carbon goals, the concrete admixture industry is accelerating its green transformation. Recently, a research institute under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with enterprises, announced a new research achievement: a bio-based concrete admixture made from agricultural waste has successfully completed pilot-scale testing, with related technologies reaching internationally advanced levels.

China's concrete admixture exports have increased by 25% year-on-year, with high-end products gaining international market recognition.

According to the latest data, China's concrete admixture exports have achieved significant growth, with a year-on-year increase of 25%. This growth not only reflects the enhanced manufacturing capabilities of China's building materials industry but also indicates that high-end products, represented by polycarboxylate-based high-performance water reducers, have gradually gained technical recognition in key markets such as Europe, America, and Southeast Asia. With the global promotion of green building concepts and the release of infrastructure upgrade demands, the new generation of admixture products featuring low-carbon characteristics and intelligent adaptability is becoming a new focus of competition in the international market.

High-corrosion-resistant concrete admixtures are applied in subsea tunnel projects, addressing the challenge of marine environmental erosion

Recently, a key construction milestone was achieved in a domestic subsea tunnel project, where a batch of high-corrosion-resistant concrete admixtures was successfully applied in the production of shield tunnel segments and the lining construction of the tunnel. This effectively addressed technical challenges such as the vulnerability of concrete structures to chloride ion erosion and poor durability in marine environments, providing core assurance for the long-term safe operation of the subsea tunnel project.

Guangxi Keda New Materials Develops New Marine Concrete Admixture, Boosts Beibu Gulf Port Construction
