Bridge
Bridge concrete requires high strength, high stiffness, good crack resistance, freeze-thaw durability, and long-term performance. In most cases, it must be suitable for prestressing, pumpable, and have controllable early strength.
High strength grades: For ordinary beams, slabs, piers, and columns, C30–C40 are commonly used. For prestressed box girders, T-girders, and capping beams, C40–C50 are mostly adopted. For long-span bridges and critical components, strength grades can reach C50–C60 or even higher.
Extremely high durability: Freeze-thaw resistance, impermeability, and chloride ion erosion resistance are required. In coastal areas and saline-alkali regions, marine durable concrete must be used. Crack resistance and deformation resistance are essential, with low shrinkage and low heat of hydration to prevent early-age cracking. Good volume stability ensures proper alignment and structural safety.
Good workability: Grouting materials for prestressed ductwork must be micro-expansive, highly fluid, and non-bleeding.
