Nuclear power plant

Nuclear Power Plant Concrete: Ultra-high density, minimal cracking, resistant to high temperature and pressure, strong radiation shielding, over 100-year durability, and a zero-leakage safety barrier.

Superior Radiation Shielding:
Uses high-density radiation-shielding concrete (containing barite/magnetite) for containment structures and reactor shielding walls, with a density of 3200~4500kg/m³. Doped with boron and lithium elements to shield against gamma rays and neutron radiation, preventing nuclear leakage. Features zero through-cracks in the structure, with crack width strictly controlled at <0.1mm to ensure airtightness.

High Strength + Low Heat of Hydration for Mass Concrete Crack Resistance:
Main material for containment: C50 and above high-strength prestressed concrete. For the ultra-thick mass concrete of the nuclear island base slab, low-heat cement and a large amount of fly ash are used. The temperature difference between the interior and exterior is strictly controlled at ≤25℃, with cooling water pipes embedded to prevent cracking. Low alkali and low chloride ion content prevent long-term reinforcement corrosion.

Resistant to High Temperature, High Pressure, and Radiation Aging:
Withstands operating conditions of 160℃ high temperature and high-pressure steam without spalling or failure. Under long-term radiation, strength and density do not degrade. Resists earthquakes, impacts, and extreme loads such as tsunamis. Offers extremely strong impermeability and chloride ion resistance, isolating radioactive media from leakage over the long term.

Concrete for Different Sections:
• Reactor shielding walls: High-density barite radiation-shielding concrete.
• Prestressed containment: C50 low-heat, slightly expansive, high-density prestressed concrete.
• Nuclear island base slab: Mass low-heat crack-resistant concrete.
• Conventional auxiliary structures: C30~C40 durable concrete.

Strict Control of Materials and Construction:
• Cement: 42.5 low-heat Portland cement, with strict control over alkali and chloride ion content.
• Aggregates: Clean, low-impurity, small-particle-size continuous grading; strictly prohibits excessive mud content.
• Mix proportion: Extremely low water-binder ratio, high dosage of mineral admixtures.
