Niutou Bay Terminal of Nanning Port
The Niutou Bay Terminal is a core operational area within the Central City Port District of Nanning Port. Located approximately 40 kilometers downstream of the Yongjiang First Bridge in Yongning District, Nanning City, it serves as a significant symbol of the modernization transformation of Nanning's inland river ports.
The terminal commenced formal operations in 2014, taking over cargo handling functions from older terminals in the former downtown area, with the aim of achieving intensive and modern port development. The Phase I project of the Niutou Operational Area involved a total investment of approximately 1.029 billion yuan. Its construction included:3 multipurpose berths of 1,000-ton class、3 general cargo berths of 2,000-ton class、5 multipurpose berths of 2,000-ton class,The terminal boasts a total quay length of 1,244 meters, a rear storage yard area of 33,550 square meters, and warehouse space covering 47,451 square meters. The berth structures are designed with provisions for accommodating 3,000-ton-class vessels. The terminal is equipped with modern handling machinery such as large cranes, front-end loaders, and rubber-tired gantry cranes, with a maximum lifting capacity of 50 tons. It supports rail-water intermodal transportation and offers port service functions including customs declaration and inspection.
