Recently, the green upgrading and transformation project of Guangxi Keda New Materials Co., Ltd. was successfully completed, marking the official commissioning of the region's first additive production base with zero wastewater discharge. By establishing a comprehensive water recycling system and an advanced pollutant treatment system, the base has achieved 100% recycling and reuse of production wastewater, representing a critical breakthrough in the company's transition to green production and setting a new benchmark for green development in Guangxi's building materials industry.

It is reported that the green upgrading project involved a total investment of 120 million RMB, with a primary focus on wastewater treatment and resource recycling. The base has implemented a three-tier wastewater treatment system comprising "pre-treatment, advanced purification, and recycling." This system addresses various types of wastewater generated during additive production, such as cleaning wastewater and reaction wastewater, by employing precise pre-treatment processes to remove impurities and pollutants. Advanced technologies such as membrane separation and advanced oxidation are then used for deep purification, ensuring that the treated wastewater meets production water standards and can be directly reused in processes like ingredient mixing and cleaning. Additionally, the base is equipped with a rainwater collection system to supplement production water sources, achieving a hierarchical utilization of water resources.

"Zero wastewater discharge is not merely about wastewater treatment but about establishing a production model centered on a 'closed-loop water resource cycle,'" explained a representative from Guangxi Keda New Materials Co., Ltd. After the project's commissioning, the company is expected to reduce its annual freshwater consumption by approximately 80,000 tons and completely eliminate the discharge of production wastewater. This not only fully resolves the water pollution issues associated with additive production but also reduces production water costs by 30%. According to environmental department inspections, all pollutant emissions from the base are significantly lower than national and local standards, with key indicators such as COD and ammonia nitrogen approaching near-zero concentrations.

As a demonstrative enterprise in the green transformation of Guangxi's building materials industry, the establishment of the zero-wastewater-discharge production base by Guangxi Keda New Materials is a significant step in aligning with China's dual carbon goals and practicing green development principles. The representative stated that the company will continue to advance green upgrades across the entire production process, focusing further on energy conservation, consumption reduction, and the resource utilization of solid waste, aiming to create a modern building materials production base that integrates "green production, recycling, and low-carbon environmental protection."

Industry experts point out that the completion of Guangxi Keda New Materials' zero-wastewater-discharge production base provides replicable practical experience for the green transformation of the additive industry both regionally and nationally. Against the backdrop of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor construction emphasizing green and low-carbon development, the operation of such green production bases will drive the transformation of the regional building materials industry toward eco-friendly practices, offering solid support for the green and high-quality development of the corridor's construction.
