Wuzhou Xijiang Extra-large Bridge
Wuzhou Xijiang Bridge (typically referring to Fudiankou Xijiang Bridge) is a pivotal control project of the Wuzhou Ring Expressway. Located in the eastern part of Wuzhou City, it spans the Xijiang River from north to south, serving as a critical link between the Wuzhou-Liuzhou Expressway and the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing Expressway. It has become a key land route connecting central and southern Guangxi with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area economic zone.
With a total length of 1,474 meters, the main bridge adopts a prestressed concrete low-pylon cable-stayed structure. Its No. 1 main span reaches 270 meters, making it the largest span of its kind in Asia at the time of completion. Designed for a speed of 100 km/h, the bridge meets the standards for a dual four-lane expressway.
